Yolanda M. Chiappini age 87, formerly of 37 Hospital Street, Carbondale died Thursday, March 7, 2002 at Mountain Rest Nursing Home, Scranton where she had been a guest for the past year. She was the wife of the late Theodore Chiappini who died April 18, 1987. Born March 17, 1914 in Scranton. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Mrs. Serafino Tononi. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. She is survived by one sister: Mary Bannister of Scranton, PA.; one brother: Jerome Bartoli of Bridgeport, CT.; Nieces Nephews She was preceded in death by one brother: Angelo Tononi The funeral was held Saturday, March 9, 2002 from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc. Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale with mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Rose Of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale celebrated by Rev. Paul Ogoke, Assistant Pastor. Interment, Mother Of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp. A private viewing was held Saturday morning.
