Yang Sun Johnson, age 57, of 12 Laurel Street, Carbondale, died early Monday morning, January 27, 2003, at the Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA. following a long battle with kidney disease. She was the wife of James L. Johnson.
Born July 31, 1945 in Korea. She was a member of the New Life Assembly of God Church, Carbondale.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed. The greatest tragedy in her life was the loss of her daughter, Tiffany Marie, and she died as much from a broken heart as from her physical illness.
She is survived by two sons: James E. Doyle of Vandling, PA. and Jonnie E. Holford of California; 6 Sisters in Korea; two Grandsons and a Granddaughter
She was preceded in death by one daughter: Tiffany Marie Johnson; one Brother and Several Sisters
The funeral was held Friday, January 31, 2003, at 12:00 pm in the New Life Assembly Of God Church, Beaver Steet, Carbondale, with the Rev. Barry Jaggars, Pastor, officiating. Interment, Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart, PA.
A viewing was held Thursday, January 30, 2003, from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale.
