Obituary

William R. Tell, 91, of Clifford, PA., died Friday afternoon, January 29, 2010 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre, PA. He was the husband of the former Elizabeth J. Rozelle, who died March 27, 2001. Born December 27, 1918 in Carbondale, PA., he was the son of the late Julius and Minnie (Scull) Tell. He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, Carbondale and the Free and Accepted Mason's. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a welder for D.A. Kessler Construction Company in Mount Carmel, PA., for 23 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by one son: Thomas E. Tell and wife Carol of Colorado Springs, CO.; one brother: Charles Tell of Binghamton, NY.; three grandchildren: Dianna Nelson of Elizabeth, CO., Kenneth Tell of Colorado Springs, CO. and Sharon Buller of Windsor, VA.; five great grandchildren: Morgan Nelson, Justus and Kenton Tell, Alexandra and Jessica Buller; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Frederick, Edward and Russell Tell; one sister: Elizabeth Marion. The funeral was held Friday, February 5, 2010 at 11:00 AM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, with the Rev. Donald Schaible, pastor of the Trinity Episcopal Church, officiating. A masonic service was also held by the Mount Hermon Masonic Lodge #472, Union Dale, PA. Interment, Willow View Cemetery, Clifford, PA. Friends called Friday, February 5, 2010 from 9:00 - 11:00 AM.
