William E. "Bill" Maffett, 62, of Thompson, PA, died Thursday, January 31, 2019. He is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Donna Feringa Maffett. Born December 26, 1956 in Binghamton, NY, he was the son of the late Edwin and Joan Holbrook Maffett. Bill was an Army veteran and loved Sci-Fi and Western movies. He worked as a truck driver for over 40 years. Bill loved Eagles, riding his motorcycle and going to Wendy's with his son for the Baconator. He will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by two children: Amanda Maffett and Nathan Maffett both of Thompson, PA; two brothers: Herman Maffett of Lanesboro, PA and Steven Maffett of San Marcos, TX; two granddaughters: Topanga and Gemma Maffett both of Thompson, PA; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Eddie and Ronald Maffett. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
