William “Billy” Kuttrubis, of Carbondale, PA, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.

Billy was a devoted partner to his love of 20 years, the late Virginia “Gena” Warren, with whom he shared a life filled with laughter and cherished memories.

Billy spent his career as the owner and cook of the Crystal Restaurant in Carbondale, working side-by-side with his father and brother. His dedication to the family business and the community it served was evident in every meal he prepared and every person he welcomed through the door.

Billy enjoyed snowmobiling with his niece and nephew during their younger years, creating memories they still treasure. He was an avid golfer, a passionate cook, and took great joy in sharing his culinary creations with family and friends. Above all, Billy loved visiting with his loved ones, sitting together over good food, telling stories, and laughing about the good old days. He was deeply loved by all who had the pleasure of being around him.

He is survived by his brother: Nick and wife, Dolores; his sister: Mary Clemens and husband, Paul; his partners children: Beth Sokoloski and husband, Mark and Chris Bartlett and wife, Anne, and grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Connor. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who adored him.

In addition to “Gena” he was also preceded in death by his parents: William and Rose Kuttrubis; his step-mother: Samaro; and his brother: Michael.

Billy’s presence, kindness, and humor will be missed beyond measure by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held Sunday, September 20, 2026 from 2-4 p.m. at Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA.
