William Wallace Conrad, Jr., age 65, of Kingsley, PA. died Monday morning, December 29, 2003 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA.
Born December 21, 1938 in Newton, NJ. He was the son of the late William Wallace Conrad, Sr. and Elsie (Klim) Conrad.
He was a graduate of Harford Elementary School. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the 82nd Airborne Paratrooper Division. He was a member of the Lenox VFW. He was a farmer for 12 years and a quarryman in the flagstone business for many years. He worked for Limecrest Company in New Jersey, Clifthorn Stone Company in Scranton, PA. and Edwards Brothers in Fleetville, PA.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren and great grandson.
He is survived by two daughters: Mary Elizabeth Slater of Gainesville, FL. and April Marie Conrad of Ralegh, NC.; one son: William Wallace Conrad, III. of Uniondale, PA.; three sisters: Joan Phillips of New Jersey, Amelia Malone of New Jersey and Lois of Jermyn, PA.; five brothers: Fred Conrad of Sussex, NJ., John Conrad of Franklin, NJ., Roger Conrad of New Jersey, Robert Conrad of Kingsley, PA. and Mike Conrad of Jermyn, PA.; his former wife: Elizabeth Pfister Conrad of Wyalusing, PA.; 6 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandson; Several Nieces Nephews
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Harry and Danny Conrad
Friends called Saturday, January 3, 2004 from 2-4 pm at the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford.
Cremation took place in the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA.
