William David Fickes, 77, of Gibson Township, PA, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at home. Born November 22, 1938 in Utica, NY, he was the son of the late Daniel and Elfrieda Williams Fickes. Bill was a former resident of Union, New Jersey and prior to his retirement, he had been employed by the State of New Jersey as a teacher at the center for the blind. He is survived by two children: Stephanie Haller and Kevin Fickes; two grandchildren: Charlotte Haller and Molly Fickes. He was preceded in death by a son: David Fickes; a sister: Esther Fickes. A memorial service will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Interment, Gelatt Cemetery, Gelatt, PA.
