Obituary

William D. Eggelton, age 54, of Clifford Township, PA., died Tuesday afternoon, July 23, 2013 at home following a courageous battle with liver cancer. His wife of 10 years is the former Danita Davis. Born July 9, 1959 in Honesdale, PA., he was the son of the late Henry, Sr. and Charlotte (Mitzer) Eggelton. William was a graduate of Forest City High School, Forest City, PA. and earned a certificate at the North Vo Tech School, Childs, PA. He worked for 30 years at Gentex Corporation, Simpson, PA. as a coating tech and recently left due to his illness. He also worked at Andy Shamro's Farm, the Forest City Borough and R.B. Fries GMC dealership in Vandling, PA. He was a member of the Peckville Assembly of God Church, Blakely, PA. and was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He enjoyed working on cars with his best friend Tim Hall and volunteered many hours at the Pleasant Mount Historical Society. He is survived by one step son: Kevin Davis of Clifford Township, PA.; one brother: Henry Eggelton of Union Dale, PA.; one step brother: Walter Millken of Port Chester, NY. The funeral was held Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 10:00 AM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA., with Pastor Terry Drost of the Peckville Assembly of God Church, officiating. Interment, Welsh Hill Cemetery, Union Dale, PA. Friends called Friday, July 26, 2013 from 5-8 PM. Pallbearers: Henry Eggelton, Walter Millken, Tim Hall, Ed Runco, Chuck Davis Ralph Casey. Funeral Service 10:00 am Saturday, July 27, 2013 Shifler-Parise Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Clifford, PA 18 Airport Road Clifford, Pennsylvania, United States
