William J. Cyganick, 62, a resident of Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart, PA, and formerly of Jefferson Township, PA, died Thursday afternoon, June 26, 2014 at Geisinger-Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA. Born April 1, 1952 in Jersey City, NJ, he is the son of Eileen Cox Cyganick of Lake Ariel, PA and the late Joseph Cyganick. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the Navy for 18 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and was a former member of the VFW Post 6520 in Cortez, PA. He is survived by one daughter: Annette Lloyd of Carbondale, PA; three grandchildren: Cody, Brody and Allisah; one sister: Carolyn Balconis of Jefferson Township, PA; three brothers: Steven Cyganick of Carbondale, PA, Michael Cyganick of Jefferson Township, PA and Thomas Cyganick of Jefferson Township, PA; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a nephew: Harry Cyganick. As per Bill's request he was cremated and no services were held. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale.
