William J. Corrigan, 92, of Clifford Township, PA, died Friday, January 18, 2019 at home. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Helen A. Sereduick, on November 18, 2014.
Born and raised in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Dorothy Parks Corrigan.
Bill was a Navy veteran of World War II and was retired as a general superintendent for a construction company in Maryland. Upon retiring, he took up raising livestock and at one time had 60 herefords. Bill was proud that he was able to share his passion for animals with his grandchildren. He and his wife were snowbirds having a winter home in Lake Placid, FL, for many years.
He is survived by one daughter: Colleen Wellman, with whom he resided; three grandchildren: Dustin Wellman and companion, Kris Leonard, Shelby Drozdick and husband, Jason, Sr. and Amber Allen and husband, Jeremy; seven great grandchildren: Patrick Leonard, Ellie Wellman, Wyatt Wellman, Jason Drozdick, Jr., Seth, Cody and Abigail Allen; one sister: Dorothy DePalma of Niagra Falls, NY; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Theresa Hickman and Eleanor Waibel; five brothers: Michael, John, James, Gregory and Gerald Corrigan.
Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA. Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
