Willard S. Buck, 90, of Greenfield Township, PA, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA. He is survived by his wife, the former Romayne Wells. They were married on October 28, 1950. Born April 22, 1931 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late Clarence and Charlotte Sonn Buck. Willard was a graduate of Greenfield Township schools and prior to his retirement, he had been employed as a team leader electrician at Procter and Gamble in Mehoopany for over 25 years. He was an active member of the Clifford United Methodist Church and several of its organizations and choir. He also enjoyed volunteering his time for the annual fireman's picnic that benefited the Clifford Township Volunteer Fire Company. Willard was also an active organizer within the former Procter and Gamble retiree's organization. A gifted soloist, he was always happy to sing at weddings, special occasions and group trips. Willard loved to travel and especially enjoyed dinning out. He is survived by two sons: David Buck and wife, Sharon of Greenfield Township, PA, and Gary Buck and wife, Debbie of Nicholson, PA; three daughters: Charlotte Mudge and husband, Douglas of Greenfield Township, PA, Shirley Griffiths and husband, Kim of Clifford Township, PA, and Janice Steele and husband, Terry of Greenfield Township, PA; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two grandchildren: Angela Mudge and Mark Allen Mudge; a brother: Walter Buck; two sisters: Jane Giles and Dorothy Renter. The funeral was held Monday, May 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, with Rev. Patricia Hanley, pastor of the Clifford United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment, Willow View Cemetery, Clifford, PA. The funeral was live streamed from the funeral home.
