Obituary

Wilda Elizabeth Jennings, age 73, of Dundaff, PA., died Friday, July 6, 2007 at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center, Johnson City, NY. She was the wife of the late Martin E. Sparky Jennings, who died October 17, 2005. They were married for 51 years. Born July 25, 1933 in Ararat, PA., she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Minerva (Denney) Price. She was a member of the Clifford United Methodist Church, Clifford, PA. and had held numerous administrative titles at the parish including Director of Vacation Bible School for 45 years. She was a graduate and valedictorian of her class from Thompson School. She was the current president of the United Methodist Women Society, Lay Minister to the Wyoming Annual Conference and a member of the Dorcus Society. She was a member and Chaplain of the Ladies Auxillary of the Clifford Township Volunteer Fire Company and a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Elk Mountain VFW Post 8488. She was a former member of the Susquehanna County Board of Welfare and a volunteer for Allied Services group home and many other organizations. She also assisted on weekends at her son-in-laws family business, Pettinato's Restaurant of Carbondale, PA. She always put others before herself and always had a smile. She was kind, gentle, understanding and loved to cook and bake. She loved children, her home and most of all her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who loved spending time with her grandchildren and will be dearly missed. Not only was she a mother and grandmother to her family, but to many other children in her lifetime. She is survived by three daughters: Yvonne and husband Dino Magistro of Carbondale, PA., Doreen and husband James Mancuso of Dundaff, PA. Binghamton, NY. and Holly Jo and husband Brian Widzon of Archbald, PA.; two sons: Wayne Jennings of Binghamton, NY. and Dale and wife Debbie Jennings of Dundaff, PA.; one brother: Richard Price of Thompson, PA.; five grandsons: Mark, Michael Joshua Dilts and Gregory Brian Widzon, Jr.; Several Nieces Nephews and Grand Nieces Nephews She was preceded in death by two brothers: Wayne and Millard Price. The funeral was held Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff Main Streets, Clifford, with Pastor Peg Knapich of the Clifford United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment, Gelatt Cemetery, Gelatt, PA. Friends called Monday, July 9, 2007 from 2-4 7-9 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to National Childrens Cancer Society, 1015 Locust Street, Suite 600, St. Louis, MO. 63101. Pallbearers: James Mancuso, Dino Magistro, Brian Widzon, Gregory Widzon, Mark Dilts, Mike Dilts and Joshua Dilts.
