Wesley V. Mack, 88, of Greenfield Township, PA, died Thursday, April 20, 2018 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA. He was preceded in death by his wife 41 years, the former Virginia M. Devine, on May 4, 1993. Born in Factoryville, PA, he was the son of the late Archie and Delia Rosengrant Mack. He was a tool and die maker having been employed for nearly 30 years at Sandvik Steel. Shortly before retirement, he operated his own tool and die shop, Rural Tool Company. A navy veteran of the Korean War, he served as an Aviation Structural Mechanic Airman from 1947 to 1951. In his younger years, he was a gifted guitar player, singer and expert pool player. He and his late brother were longtime members of the Valley Lanes Bowling League. Wesley was a lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. After the death of his wife, Wesley shared nearly 20 years of life with his companion, Valerie Agostini. Together they enjoyed traveling both domestically and internationally. Wesley's children will remember their dad as a hard working and devoted husband and father who spent his life supporting and caring for his family. He is survived by seven children: Wesley V. "Butch" Mack, Jr., and wife Diane of Scott Township, PA, Debbie Hameza and husband William of Clifford Township, PA, Robin Roberts and fiancé Tom Aguiar of Peabody, MA, Jeffrey Mack of Greenfield Township, PA, Richard Mack and wife Erin of Dalton, PA, Michael Mack and wife Linda of Jermyn, PA, and Rebecca Mack of Clarks Summit, PA; eleven grandchildren: Christopher, Anna, Jessica, Tiffany, Billie Jean, Jennifer, Amanda, Kayla, Connor, Alyssa and Michele; four great grandchildren: Gianna, Rylin, Thomas, Raven and a great grandson shortly to arrive; his companion: Valerie Agostini of Greenfield Township, PA; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a brother: Richard Mack. The funeral was held Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, officiated by Pastor Bonnie Resseguie of the Clifford Baptist Church. Interment with military honors, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Pallbearers: William Hameza, Connor Mack, Christopher Mack, Vincent Oliva, Bryan Wech and Tom Aguiar.
