Wanda A. Jones, 98, of Clifford Township, PA, died Friday, January 29, 2021 at Barnes-Kasson Hospital, Susquehanna, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rexford W. Jones on April 18, 1985. Born September 5, 1922 in Gelatt, PA, she was the daughter of the late Howard H. and Lynette Brown Pickering. She was a graduate of Thompson High School and Ridley-Lowell Business School, Binghamton, NY. Wanda had been a member of the former Elkdale Baptist Church. She was employed for many years as a secretary for the Scotch Motor Company, Carbondale, PA, and later retired from the Weston Corporation in Archbald, PA. She is survived by one sister: Joan Potter of Thompson, PA; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by four siblings: Marjorie Stone, Maurice Pickering, Betty Morris and Hollis Pickering. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Clifford Valley Cemetery, Clifford, PA. Arrangements were entrusted to Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
