Walter E. Welch, 72, of Hamilton, VA., died Friday evening, November 4, 2011 at Capital Caring Halquist Inpatient Center, Arlington, VA. He is survived by his wife the former Joyce Scales. Born November 13, 1938 in Melrose, PA., he was the son of the late Sylvester and Louise (Mead) Welch. He was a retired farmer and handy man. He is survived by one daughter: April Wennerberg of Mount Airy, MD.; one son: Solomon Welch of Leesburg, VA. A graveside service was held Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Starrucca Cemetery, Starrucca, PA. Arrangements were under the direction of the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
