Walter Julia, M.D., 83, of Langhorne, PA and formerly of Edison, NJ, died Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown, PA. He was the husband of the former Beverly Clausen who died in 2011.
Born in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late John and Helen Molinaro Julia. Dr. Julia was a graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA and Hahnemann Medical School, Philadelphia, PA. Prior to his retirement, he was a general family practitioner in Edison, NJ, for many years. He also served in the Navy during the Korean War.
He is survived by two sons: John Julia of Langhorne, PA and Richard Julia of California; one brother: Richard "Dick" Julia and wife Betty of Greenfield Township, PA; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter: Linda Julia. A private graveside service and interment was held on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Canaan Corners Cemetery, Waymart, PA, with Pastor Wayne Wolfe of the First Presbyterian Church of Carbondale, officiating.
