Walter M. Bossick, age 88, of Carbondale, PA., died Friday morning, December 16, 2005 at the Osprey Ridge Health Care Center, Carbondale. His wife was the late Helen Boshman who died November 28, 2001.
Born January 6, 1917 in Jessup, PA., he was the son of the late John and Mary Komensky Bossick.
He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale and was an Army Veteran serving in World War II. He worked as a coal miner and retired from Gentex Corporation, Simpson, PA. He was a member of the Forest City American Legion, Forest City, PA.
He is survived by Several Nieces Nephews
He was preceded in death by three sisters: Anna Curylo, Helen Robinson and Pauline Bossick; eight brothers: John, Andrew, Joseph, George, Rudolph, Martin, Francis and Stephen Bossick.
The funeral was held Monday, December 19, 2005 at 9:00 am from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. William D. Campbell, assistant pastor.
Entombment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA.
Friends called Sunday, December 18, 2005 from 6-8 PM.
