Virginia Halstead Shay, 75, of Susquehanna, PA, died Monday, July 10, 2017 at home with her family at her side. Her husband, Joseph Shay died on February 8, 2017. Born October 31, 1941 in Hancock, NY, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Addie Comfort Halstead. She is survived by two sons: Leroy Rogers and James Bishop and companion Tina Monks; nine grandchildren: Kevin Sylvester and wife Haley, Natasha Bishop, Kristy Welch and husband Brandon, Brook Morrison, Angie, Christine, Mindy, Sandy and Vicky Rogers; one brother: Howard Halstead and wife Karen; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her lovely dog, Diamond. She was also preceded in death by two children: Rose Marie Halstead and Billy Soules; a granddaughter: Jenny Rogers; a brother: Henry "Sonny" Halstead; three sisters: Betty Shelp, Thelma Burns and Viola Halstead. Private services were held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were entrusted to Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
