Veronica L. McCabe, age 60, of Clifford Township, PA., died Thursday afternoon, June 16, 2011 at home. Born February 24, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY., she was the daughter of the late James and Rosemary (Stackpole) McCabe. Veronica was a faithful member of the Tompkinsville United Methodist Church. She was a peacemaker who is best represented in Matthew 5: Verse 9 Happy are those who work for peace; God will call them his children! She often said she was a spiritual being living a human experience and now she is a citizen of Heaven. She is survived by two beloved friends: Arlene Merritt of Jermyn, PA. and Beth Henn of Clifford Township, PA.; four brothers: Robert McCabe of Mainville, OH., Christopher McCabe of Spring , TX., John McCabe of Franklin, NJ. and Joseph McCabe of Branchburg, NJ.; one sister: Dolores Koenig of Bridgewater, NJ.; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother: James McCabe; one sister: Rosemary VanWinkle. A memorial service was held Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Tompkinsville United Methodist Church, with Pastor Lori Horlacher, Ph.D., pastor, officiating. Friends called Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 3-7 PM at the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA. and Wednesday, June 22, 2011, from 10 AM until service time at the church.
