Veronica "Ronnie" Mantis, 74, of Carbondale, PA, died Friday morning, January 27, 2023 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA.

Born June 4, 1948 in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Alice Seagrist Mantis.

Prior to moving to Pennsylvania, Ronnie resided in Forest Hills, Queens, New York. She was a very generous person who will be fondly remembered as the neighborhood's mom. Her door was open to anyone who needed anything, from a place to stay, a bite to eat or a friend to listen. Ronnie truly was as solid as the day is long.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years: Ronald Morris; a daughter: Cathy Keohan; a grandson: Shane Tully; two brothers: Rudy Mantis and Louis Mantis, Jr.

She was also preceded in death by a sister: Cathy Mantis.

A visitation was held on Monday, January 30, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA.
