Valerie E. Graham, 49, RR1, Carbondale, PA., died Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the VNA Hospice, Scranton, PA., after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Robert M. Graham. They were married October 12th 1985 and recently celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary. Born October 5, 1964 in Wilkes Barre, PA., she was the daughter of Richard L. and Betty Joan Bethel Garey of Plymouth. Valerie was a very dedicated mother and homemaker who along with her husband raised and help educate two wonderful sons. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was active in the Carbondale Congregation located in Greenfield Township, PA. Valerie enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting as well as being around the company of friends and family. She is survived by two sons: Blake and Geoffrey Graham both at home; one sister: Melodye Denisov of South Carolina; one nephew. A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 3:00 PM from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Hickory Ridge Road, Greenfield Township, PA. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Carbondale, PA.
