Tracy James Roberts age 89, of RR 1 Box 638, Jermyn, died Tuesday afternoon, July 9, 2002 at VNA Hospice, Community Medical Center, Scranton following an illness. Born February 11, 1913 in Millrift (Pike County), PA. He was the son of the late Edward and Henrietta (Knickerbocker) Roberts. He is of the Protestant faith. He was a graduate of Millrift schools. He worked in the shipyards in New Jersey before moving to the Clifford area in 1942 where he purchased his farm. He was a retired farmer and also worked for Walczaks Lumber Company, Clifford. He is survived by his caregiver: George Spedding of Carbondale, PA.; Nieces Nephews He was preceded in death by one sister: Flora Burger The funeral was held Monday, July 15, 2002 at 11:00 am from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff Main Streets, Clifford, with Rev. E. Susan Wenner of the Scott Valley Church officiating. Interment, Millrift Cemetery, Millrift, PA. Viewing was held Sunday, July 14, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9.
