Thomas N. Sciallo, 60, of Nicholson, PA, died Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, PA, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born March 22, 1959 in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Helen Roberts Sciallo. Tom is a 1978 graduate of Flushing High School, Queens, NY, and attended Queensborough College. He worked as a truck driver for Penn's Best, Meshoppen, PA. He was of the Catholic faith and had a love for Harley Davidson motorcycles, classic cars and target shooting practice. He is survived by one daughter: Melinda Murray of Greenacres, FL; six sisters: Annette Berry of Hawley, PA, Roseanne Milano of NY, Carol Sciallo of NY, Nancy Paladino of FL, Irene Mandell of FL and Betty of NC; two brothers: Nicholas Sciallo of Nicholson, PA and John Sciallo of Quincy, IL, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Helen Milano and Cathy Sciallo. A blessing service was held Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA, officiated by Rev. Michael J. Kirwin, pastor of St. John Vianney Parish, Royal, PA. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Pallbearers: William Berry, Nick Sciallo, Jr., Len Wheatley, Al Trichilo, Mark Salansky, Nate Salansky, William Towers and James Park. Visitation was held Friday, March 13, 2020 from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations were sent to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Drive, Wilkes Barre, PA 18702.
