Thomas R. Rattler Powell, age 51, of Carbondale, PA., died late Monday evening, October 10, 2005 at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. His wife is the former Debra Esgro. Born June 1, 1954 in Pottsville, PA., he was the son of Robert B. Powell of Carbondale and the late Lois (Stephens) Powell. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Carbondale. He was a graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School in Carbondale. He worked in the maintenance department at the Carbondale Area High School. He was a longtime member of the Moxie Club and the American Legion, both in Carbondale. He was excellent in carpentry and had a great passion for antique corvettes. He is survived by one daughter: Danielle and one son: Joseph both of Carbondale, PA.; one sister: Barbara Costanzo of Scranton, PA.; one brother: William wife Lorne Powell of Uniondale, PA.; one granddaughter: Mckenzie Hudson and one grandson: Michael Hudson both of Carbondale, PA.; Nieces Nephews He was preceded in death by one step son: James Jimbo Denney The funeral was held Thursday, October 13, 2005 at 9:00 pm from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, with the Rev. William Blackie, III., pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Carbondale, officiating. Cremation followed at the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA. Friends called Thursday, October 13, 2005 from 6:00 pm until service time.
