Thomas G. Olsewski, Sr. age 72, of Linden, New Jersey, died Friday morning, May 2, 2003 at the Rahway Hospital, Rahway, New Jersey following an illness. His wife of 46 years is the former Mary Fitch.
Born February 1, 1931 in Carbndale, PA. He was the son of the late George and Elizabeth (Polansky) Olsewski.
He resided in Linden, New Jersey since 1954. He was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, Linden and it's Holy Name Society. Prior to his retirement in 1993 he was employed as a assembly worker relief manager at the General Motors Company plant, Linden, for 38 years. He was also a member of the United Auto Workers Local 595.

He is survived by two sons: Thomas G. Olsewski, Jr. of Mission Viejo, CA. and Paul Olsewski of Hoboken, NJ.; one sister: Betty Jane Mancuso of Carbondale, PA.; three brothers: Larry Olsewski of Carbondale, PA., Joseph Olsewski of Mayfield, PA. and Francis Olsewski of Greenfield Township, PA.; 2 Grandsons and 1 Granddaughter; Several Nieces Nephews
He was preceded in death by one brother: William Olsewski
The funeral was held Monday, May 5, 2003 at 8:30 am from the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home, 301 East Blancke Street, Linden, New Jersey with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Elizabeth of Hungary R.C. Church, East Blancke Street, Linden, New Jersey. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township.

Out of town and local funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, PA.
