Thomas F. Gravine, Jr., 81, of Carbondale, PA, died Saturday, October 31, 2026. His widow is the former Monica L. Caucci, formerly of Jessup, PA. They celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary, July 24th.
Born in Carbondale, PA, son of the late Thomas F., Sr. and Marie C. Palmiero Gravine, he attended Fell Township High School, class of 1963. Prior to retirement, he was employed by RCA, Sears, General Dynamics Land Systems Division and was a well-known and accomplished taxidermist and archer of Gravine’s Fins and Skins Taxidermy and Archery Shop, Carbondale. His customers always left his shop with smiles and amazement of every mount he accomplished because they knew he truly loved completing their mounts and put such care and professionalism in them. He taught many young archers the safety and expertise of learning how to shoot their bows with patience and pure love of the sport. He himself had competed in many archery contests and won several of them even accomplishing a “Robin Hood” shot which was very difficult to do.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and truly loved nature. His sense of humor and his rendition of Donald Duck’s voice was impeccable and brought such happiness and joy to all those who heard him especially his wife and family. He was loved by many who truly knew the goodness of his heart and his integrity.
