Thomas M. Gillette, 87, of Carbondale, PA, died December 30, 2024 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA.

Born August 27, 1937 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Marion O'Connor Gillette.

Tom was a graduate of Waymart High School and was a Vietnam veteran serving in the United States Army and Air Force. He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. Tom loved his daily walks around town and was known to many as "the Walker". His greatest joy was his love for all animals, especially his cats.

He is survived by two sisters: Linda Matoushek and Renee Wetherington, both of Waymart, PA, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

He was also preceded in death by eleven siblings: Joseph Gilletti, Frederick Gillette, Rose Marie Walitis, Robert Gillette, William Gillette, Carol Sekelsky, Richard Gillette, Edward Gillette, James Gillette, John Gillette and Gary Gillette.

As per his request, no services were held. Cremation arrangements were under the care of the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
