Theodore J. Calabro age 89, of South Gibson died Friday night, March 22, 2002, after a short illness. His wife is the former Lula M. Moore.
Born March 30, 1912 in Carbondale, he was the son of the late Carmine and Mary (Crea) Calabro, formerly of North Scott Street, Carbondale.
He was a member of St. Martin of Tours Church, Jackson. He graduated from the Carbondale High School.
He was a Barber in New Milford during the 1930s and in South Gibson during the 1940s and 1950s. He worked as a Guard at Farview State Hospital, Waymart from 1956 until his retirement in 1977.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by one daughter: Constance Scott of Dallas, PA; one son: Theodore R. Calabro, Jr. of New Milford, PA; two step sons, Gaylord Entrot of Florida and Richard Entrot of New Milford, PA; one step daughter, Betty Estabrook of Florida; three brothers: Phillip Calabro of Carbondale, PA; Chris Calabro of Carbondale, PA; Peter Calabro of Clarks Summit, PA; 2 Grandchildren (Trevor and Nathan); 14 Step Grandchildren; Nieces Nephews
Preceded in death by four brothers: Anthony Calabro, John Calabro, Frank Calabro, and Consolate Calabro; two sisters: Josephine Carozzi and Jennie Gillotti
The funeral was held Tuesday, March 26, 2002 at 9:30 am from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home 102 Dundaff Street, Carbondale with mass at 10:30 am in St. Martin of Tours Church, Jackson, PA. celebrated by Rev. John OBell, pastor of St. Martin of Tours Church, Jackson. Interment, Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp.
