Thelma J. Miller, age 76, a resident of the Osprey Ridge Health Care Center, Carbondale, PA. and formerly of White Mills, PA., died Thursday evening, June 25, 2009 at the center. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Miller, who died December 17, 2000. Born September 17, 1932 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Grace (Glossenger) Hunter.She was a member of the White Mills United Methodist Church and its United Methodist Women in White Mills, PA. She was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School in Carbondale and worked as a sewing machine operator for Sherman Underwear Mills in Hawley, PA. for many years. She was also an avid bingo player. She is survived by one daughter: Catherine Schoonover of Richford, NY.; one son: Robert G. Miller of Waymart, PA.; two sisters: Edna Pritchard of Melbourne, FL. and Beverley Hunter of Carbondale, PA.; two brothers: Roy G. Hunter of Waymart, PA. and Gordon A. Hunter of Oceanside, CA.; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by two brothers: James and Howard HunterThe funeral was held Monday, June 29, 2009 at 11:00 AM from the White Mills United Methodist Church, White Mills, PA., with Rev. Val Rommel, pastor, officiating. Cremation followed at the Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA. Friends called Sunday, June 28, 2009 from 6-8 PM at the Carmine J. Louis C.
