Terese "TT" Tomaine Wagner, of Simpson, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA. She was the wife of the late Raymond Wagner.
Born in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Carmino and Stella Lidaka Tomaine.
She was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale and had been employed at Race Builders in Carbondale for many years and later at Sugarman's in Eynon, prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale.
"TT" as she was affectionately known, was the family matriarch who took an active interest in the lives of her many nieces and nephews, keeping everyone apprised of the latest family news and achievements. She was a loving, generous and supportive sister, sister-in-law and aunt who will be deeply missed. She is irreplaceable and as one of her loving nieces noted, "No one can fill her fancy shoes."
TT had a great sense of style, inspired by her love of New York City. She loved to shop, especially to fill her overstuffed "gift room". She was a gracious hostess, and leaves many fond memories of hosting the family holiday gatherings. TT was a voracious reader and art lover, who especially appreciated the works of Edvard Munch. She also enjoyed her trips to the casino with her family, win or lose.
She is survived by three brothers, Tom Tomaine and wife Barbara of Scranton, PA, Jim Tomaine and wife Mary Cay of Endicott, NY, and Robert Tomaine and wife Mary of Madison, AL and Crystal Lake, PA, a sister-in-law, Chris Tomaine of Poughkeepsie, NY, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and their spouses, Louis Tomaine and wife May, and Joseph Tomaine and wife Carmella.
