Teresa M. Bomba, 78, of Archbald, PA, and formerly of Carbondale, PA, died Monday, May 11, 2026 at Geisinger-CMC, Scranton, PA.
Born August 20, 1947 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary R. Bomba. She was also the step-daughter of the late Edith Delfino Baldino Bomba.
Teresa was a graduate of St. Rose High School, Carbondale, and received both a bachelor's degree in education and a master's degree in library science from Marywood University in Scranton. She had been employed for many years as a teacher in the Carbondale Area School District and prior to her retirement, she worked as a salesperson at J.C. Penney in the Viewmont Mall. Teresa was a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees, Christ the King Parish, Archbald, and the Carbondale Chapter of UNICO.
A lifelong resident of Carbondale, she resided with her sister and brother-in-law in Archbald for the past 10 years. She will be fondly remembered as a very loving, generous, caring and considerate woman to her family and everyone she met.
Her siblings would like to thank Teresa's brother-in-law Eddie, who cared for and loved her as a sister and not a sister-in-law. During her many health issues over the last several years, Eddie lovingly cared for Teresa by taking her to all her appointments and cooking for her daily. Teresa always commented that she loved Eddie's cooking. Nancy, Nicky and Rich will forever be grateful to Eddie for his love and kindness towards Teresa. God Bless You!
She is survived by one sister: Nancy M. Angeloni and husband, Eddie of Archbald, PA; two brothers: Nicholas J. Bomba and wife, Susan of San Antonio, TX, and Rich Bomba and wife, Jean Marie of Rochester, NY; twin nieces: Marianne Huckaba and husband, Ryan and their son, Bennett and Heather VanKirk and husband, James and their son, Jay Preston; two nephews: Richie Bomba, and Anthony Bomba and wife, Kristin and their daughter, Raelynn and another daughter due in June.
The funeral will be Monday, May 18, 2026 from Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. from St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 411 Church Street, Archbald, PA.
