Sylvia J. Andrews, 69, of Carbondale, PA, died Friday, June 2, 2017 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore, PA. She is survived by her husband, George Andrews. Born December 21, 1947 in Carbondale, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Helen Paulik Jezercak. Sylvia was a graduate of Honesdale High School and while raising her family she also worked at the former Acme Market in Carbondale. She was a member of the Carbondale Public Library Book Club and the breakfast club which was made up of several of her friends. She is survived by two sons: Jeff Andrews and wife Mary of Lebanon, PA and Travis Andrews and wife Victoria of Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren: Gabby and Thomas Andrews; one brother: David Jezercak, Sr. of Honesdale, PA; one sister: Betsy Jezercak of Honesdale, PA; nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Paul Fontanella, assistant pastor and Deacon Edward Casey. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Arrangements were entrusted to Edward A. Wade Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions were made to the Carbondale Public Library, 5 N.
