Susan J. Lowry, age 69, of Dundaff, PA. died Thursday evening, October 7, 2004 at the Forest City Nursing Home, Forest City, PA. She was the wife of the late Howard B. Lowry, who died June 19, 2000.
Born December 1, 1934 in Carbondale, PA. She was the daughter of the late John and Edna (Shorts) Chechurka.
She was a member of the Clifford Baptist Church and the Clifford Township Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxillary.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to everyone. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to entertain her friends and was an exceptional cook. She also loved to crochet and make afghans for everyone in her family.
She is survived by one son: Russell Lowry at home; one daughter: Kathleen and husband Frank Molinaro of Carbondale, PA.; one grandson: Phillip Lowry; one granddaughter: Sara Lowry; one sister: Shirley Smith of Olyphant, PA.; one step brother: Dennis Davison of Justus, PA.; step grandchildren: Frankie, Lori and Michael; seven step great grandchildren: Jessica, Lindsay, Barry, Michael, Zachary, Frankie and Jacob; Nieces Nephews
The funeral was held Tuesday, October 12, 2004 at 11:00 am from the Clifford Baptist Church, Clifford, celebrated by Rev. John McCarty, pastor. Interment, Welsh Hill Cemetery, Uniondale, PA.
Friends called Monday, October 11, 2004 from 2-4 7-9 PM at the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford. Pallbearers: Rusty Lowry, Kathy Molinaro, Frank Molinaro, Bill Smith, Dennis Davison, Kevin Cobb, Joe Zuk and Bob Kelly.
