Susan Rita Epstein, 64, of Waymart, PA., died Tuesday morning, July 19, 2011 at VNA Hospice, Scranton, PA. She was born April 21, 1947 on Long Island, NY. Susan resided with Becky Reynolds and her family in Waymart. She quickly became a part of their family and friends. Susan adored the interaction she was able to have with the children in the daycare. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at the HRC program as well as going on outings with people from the ARC. Susan showed her strength while battling a terminal illness with the help of her nurses from the hospice of the sacred heart. She was loved by many and will be truly missed by her family and friends. Friends called Thursday, July 21, 2011 from 5-7 PM at Edward A. Wade Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Morris Place, Carbondale, PA. Interment took place Friday, July 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Temple Israel Cemetery, Middle Smithfield Twp., PA. (Monroe County), with services by Rabbi Baruch Melman of Temple Israel of the Poconos, Stroudsburg, PA.
