Stephen A. Prymock, 89, of Carbondale, PA., died Thursday morning, July 11, 2013 at the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center, Carbondale, after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the former Marguerite VanDriesen. Born July 22, 1923 in Simpson, PA., he was the son of the late Harry and Martha Rushnock Prymock. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church in Carbondale and was an Army veteran of World War II having served in Northern France and the Rhineland. He retired from St. Joseph's Hospital, Carbondale, where he worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed square dancing and helping people with small carpentry jobs. The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff at the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center as well as Southern Care Hospice for their kind and compassionate care to Steve during his illness. He is survived by two sons: Charles Prymock, Sr. and companion Amy of North Carolina and Randy Prymock and wife Sharon of Trexlertown, PA.; four sisters: Anna Premock and Helen Telep both of Johnson City, NY., Christine Davey and husband John and Stella Halowatch all of Owego, NY.; one brother: Peter Premock and wife Mary Anne of Apalachin, NY.; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons: Richard and Stephen Prymock; two brothers: Metro and Walter Premock; one sister: Mary Lyons. The funeral was held Monday, July 15, 2013 at 9:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. John C. O'Bell, associate pastor. Cremation followed. Inurnment with military honors was held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 11:00 AM in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Honesdale, PA. Pallbearers: Stephen Prymock, Richard Prymock, Daniel Prymock, Joseph Prymock, Andrew Saad and Peter Saad. Friends called Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 4-6 PM.
