Stephen P. Giacobbe, age 49, of Vandling, PA., died unexpectedly Monday morning, November 19, 2012. Born December 16, 1962 in Philadelphia, PA., he was the son of the late Domenic and Julia (Warrington) Giacobbe. Stephen enjoyed painting, horses, and loved attending the Kentucky Derby each year. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, but most of all enjoyed his family. He was a loving brother, father and uncle. Many people can easily refer to him as their best friend. Stephen had a smile that could light up a room and one of his greatest qualities was his ability to make those around him laugh. His personality was bigger than life and whether you had only just met him or have known him your whole life, he was sure to leave an impression that you would look back on with a smile. Our mother always said that no matter what your mood is, all you needed was to spend a few minutes with Stephen and he would make you forget all your troubles because he always put your feelings first. He will live on in the hearts of our family forever as he now shares eternity with our beloved parents. He is survived by a son: Stephen Giacobbe Corrazzi of Peckville, PA.; his faithful companion: Michelle Natishak of Browndale, PA.; brothers and sisters: Domenic Giacobbe, Jr. and wife Karen of Moscow, PA.; Diane Eiler and husband Owen of Philadelphia, PA.; Maria Giacobbe and companion Nick Colachino of Carbondale, PA.; Raymond Giacobbe of Wilkes-Barre, PA.; Linda Giacobbe Walck and husband Scott of Lake Ariel, PA.; Joann Giacobbe Maiocco and husband Lance of Lake Ariel, PA.; nieces and nephews: Dawn, Domenic, Anthony, Sarah, Brian, Donna, Gina, Jessica, Riley, Scotty Bailey, Dylan, Julien, Michael, Julie, Danny, Taylor and Lance The funeral was held Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 9:15 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, PA., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's Church, Waymart, PA., celebrated by Rev. Joseph Sitko, pastor. Interment, St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow, PA. Friends called Friday, November 23, 2012 from 4-8 PM.
