Stella F. Mickel, 79, of Greenfield Township, PA., died Monday morning, January 22, 2007 at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale, PA., after an illness. She was the wife of the late Harold M. Mickel who died January 17, 1999. Born July 21, 1927 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late Frank (Sunshine) and Mary Rogus Molinaro. She was a graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale and resided in New Milford, Connecticut for many years and moved back to Carbondale in 1972. During World War II, she worked for the Casco Corporation of Bridgeport, Connecticut, as a spot welder and later at Sikorsky Aircraft in Straford, Connecticut as a riviter. She retired from the Gentex Corporation in Simpson, PA. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale and the Carbondale Senior Citizens Center. She is survived by two daughters: Yvette Sangster of Lawrenceville, GA. and Jeannine Gillott of Greenfield Township, PA.; two sons: David A. Mickel of Bethlehem, GA. and James J. Mickel of Greenfield Township, PA.; two step sons: Richard and Steven Mickel of Ohio; three sisters: Gertrude Turk of Fairfield, CT., Dolores Kuttrubis and Theresa Slick both of Carbondale, PA.; 18 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces Nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter: Paulette Brady; two grandchildren: Lisa Gillott and Frankie DeAntonio; one brother: Costantino (Custy) Molinaro; seven sisters: Lillian Taroli, Katherine Paraschak, Marie Hyde and Babies Helen, Elizabeth, Frances Sylvia. The funeral was held Thursday, January 25, 2007 at 11:00 AM from Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by the Rev. Russell Motsay, pastor. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, Montdale. Friends called Wednesday, January 24, 2007 from 5-9 PM. Pallbearers: James Romano, J.P. Gillott, Patrick J.
