Shirley A. Searles, age 67, of Clifford, PA. died Saturday, May 1, 2004 at the Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA. following an illness. She was the wife of the late John Irish Searles, who died August 21, 2002. Born February 4, 1937 in Exeter, PA. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Esther (Wood) Korjack. She was a member of the Christ Espiscopal Church, Forest City, PA. She was a graduate of Forest City Schools. She is survived by two daughters: Patricia Searles of Nicholson, PA. and Carrie Searles of Tompkinsville, PA.; one son: Edward Searles of Tompkinsville, PA.; 2 Grandchildren The funeral was held Wednesday, May 7, 2004 at 1:00 pm from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, Dundaff and Main Streets, Clifford, celebrated by Sister Kathleen Smith of the Sisters of Mercy Convent, Carbondale officiating. Interment, Willow View Cemetery, Clifford. Friends called Tuesday, May 6, 2004 from 7-9 pm. Pallbearers: Homer Pidgeon, Sr.; Homer Pidgeon, Jr.; Joel Kilmer; Mark Kilmer; Brian Lent; and Tom Butler.
