Sherry L. Arthur, 38, of Greenfield Township, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at her home after a long battle with addiction. Born October 6, 1979 in Carbondale, PA, she is the daughter of Curtis "Bumper" Tallman of Greenfield Township, PA, and the late Patricia "Patsy" Ruddy Tallman. Sherry was a graduate of Lakeland Junior Senior High School and later entered the military and was a graduate of the U.S. Army and remained an active member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. She also earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Keystone College, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Upon graduation, Sherry had been employed by Penn National Gaming, Carbondale, until taking a position as facility director for the Community Education Center, Scranton. She is survived by two children: Riley and Thomas Arthur, both at home; two sisters: Shannon Cavalier and husband Dean, and their children, Austin and Drew, all of Jermyn, PA, and Carly Tallman and companion Justin Munley of Greenfield Township, PA; her former husband, Thomas Arthur of Greenfield Township, PA; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
