Sheila Tinsley, 79, of Carbondale,PA., died Wednesday morning, November 7, 2012 at the Carbondale Nursing and Rehab Center, Carbondale, after battling Alzheimer's Disease. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene C. Tinsley on October 23, 1987. Born in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret Pope Baldwin. She was a member of St. Rose ofLima Church and was a 1950 graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School both of Carbondale. She was employed for many years as a bookkeeper and before retirement at GS Fashions in Carbondale. Sheila was a kind and generous person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the Carbondale Nursing Home for their kind and compassionate care for Sheila over the last two years. She is survived by one daughter: Peggy Majdic and husband Jack of Vandling, PA.; two beloved grandchildren: Jeffrey and Kristen Majdic, whom she loved to spend time with; one sister: Sally Mack and husband John of Carbondale, PA.; one brother: Joseph Hal Baldwin and wife Kathy of Olney, MD.; very special nieces: Lonnie Slick, Lauren Pope, Wendy Epke, Holly Moden and especially, Carol Karosus, who was also her Godchild; great nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 9:30 AM in St. Rose of Lima Church, 6 N. Church Street, Carbondale. Inurnment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Arrangements were entrusted to the Edward A. Wade Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Carbondale, PA.
