Obituary

Sharon A. Rosar, 70, of Carbondale, PA, died Friday, May 5, 2017 at home. Her husband of 32 years was Joseph A. Rosar, who died on March 25, 2010. Born June 16, 1946 in Carbondale, PA, she is the daughter of Madlyn Morcom Decker of Carbondale and the late Harley W. Decker, Jr. Sharon was a loving wife, mother, daughter and grandmother. She was a proud grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, Summer and Ryan as they were growing up. Sharon was overjoyed upon the recent birth of her third grandchild, Benjamin. She was a devoted caregiver to her husband during his illness and to her 95 year old mother who survives her. Sharon was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Carbondale. She is survived by two children: Tami Rosar and husband Billy Wormuth of Carbondale, PA and Chad Rosar and wife JoAnna of Dickson City, PA; three grandchildren: Summer and Ryan Wormuth and Benjamin Rosar; one sister: Linda Hannon of Dallas, PA; step children, nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother: Thomas Decker. The funeral was held Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. from the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Pallbearers: Chad Rosar, Ryan Wormuth, Billy Wormuth, Mario Christiano, Scott Christiano and Marcus Gomez. Friends called Monday, May 8, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. A Catholic blessing service was conducted at 7 p.m. Visitation at Funeral Home 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Monday, May 8, 2017 Carmine J. & Louis C.
