Sharon Lynn Llewellyn, 48, of Carbondale, PA, died Friday, April 26, 2024 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA, after a battle with cancer.

Born September 7, 1975 in Carbondale, PA, she is the daughter of Sharon Finney Llewellyn, Carbondale, and the late Gerald D. Llewellyn.

Sharon was a 1993 graduate of Carbondale Area High School and had been employed for many years as a bartender at the American Legion Post 610, Mayfield. She also previously worked for Walmart in Dickson City, and was a member of the ladies' auxiliary of the American Legion, Post 221, Carbondale. Sharon was also a member of several area bowling and dart leagues.

She is survived by three children: Devin Sopko of Dunmore, PA, Shelby Gebert of Lakeland, FL and Mark Petrokonis, Jr. of Carbondale, PA; her companion: Mark Petrokonis, Sr.

The funeral was held Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from Trinity Episcopal Church, 58 River Street, Carbondale, PA, with Rev. William McGinty, pastor, officiating. Interment, Maplewood Cemetery, Carbondale, PA.

Pallbearers: Devin Sopko, Nick Sopko, III., Scott Black, Nick Racht, David Malson and John Ogozaly.

A viewing was held Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church.
