Sharon L. Fife, age 68, of Childs, PA., died Tuesday morning, June 5, 2012 at home. She was the wife of Paul Fife, Sr. Born April 12, 1944 in Carbondale, PA., she was the daughter of the late Earl and Charlotte (Doney) Parry and step daughter of the late Ethel (Robinson) Parry. She was a 1963 graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale and worked at Grumman Olson Industries, Inc. in East Benton, PA. for three years. She was a member of the Meredith Hose Fire Company's Ladies Auxiliary, Childs and the Berean Baptist Church, Carbondale and its choir. She enjoyed, traveling, crocheting, knitting and shopping. She also loved to collect figurines and was an avid animal lover. She is survived by one daughter: Kimberly Goodwin and husband Robert of Jessup, PA.; one son: James Sterling and wife Amy of Carbondale, PA.; two step sons: Michael Fife and wife Holly of Dushore, PA. and Paul Fife, Jr. and wife Marie of Childs, PA.; one step daughter: Denise Ann Fife of Dickson City, PA.; four grandchildren: Katrina Goodwin, Robbie Goodwin, Duane Sheare and Shaun Sampson; seven step grandchildren: Vianna Fife, Vanessa Fife, Katie Scombordi, Nicole Fife, Shauna Cummings, Alyvia Mroczka and Sean Pareoe; one brother: Edward Parry and wife Carolyn of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two daughters: Heather Renee Sheare and Charlene Louise Sterling; one son: Duane Eddie Sheare. The funeral was held Saturday, June 9, 2012, at 10:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with Rev. John McCarty, interim pastor of the Berean Baptist Church, Carbondale, officiating. Interment, Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock, PA.
