Sandra D. Jaggars, age 72, of Lake Ariel, PA., died Friday afternoon, April 30, 2010 at Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA. She was the wife of Frederick A. Jaggars. They were married February, 12, 1955. Born January 17, 1938 in Peckville, PA., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Viola (Patten) Schwartztrauber. She was a graduate of the Archbald High School and worked for 10 years as a secretary for the Tobyhanna Army Depot. She was an active member of The Church on the Hill, Carbondale and was an avid bingo player at the Hamlin Fire Rescue Company. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of the ICU Unit at the Community Medical Center, Scranton for their kindness and compassion to Sandra and her family. She is survived by four sons: Fred Jaggars and wife Joan of Parkersburg, WV., Rev. Barry Jaggars and wife Penny of Waymart, PA., David Jaggars and wife Eileen of Lake Ariel, PA. and Randy Jaggars and wife Jill of Moscow, PA.; one daughter: Charlene Purnell and husband Keith of Homen, WI.; four sisters: Eleanor Lanuti of Eynon, PA., Gladys Lucas of Eynon, PA.; Marilyn Slezak of Moscow, PA. and Madelyn Randall of Olyphant, PA.; ten grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Ronald and Stephen Schwartztrauber. The funeral was held Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 11:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale, with her son Rev. Barry Jaggars, officiating. Interment, East Canaan Cemetery, Waymart, PA. Friends called Monday, May 3, 2010 from 5-8 PM. Pallbearers: Lucas Purnell, Donald Healey, David Healey, Zack Jones, Nick Jaggars, Damon Jaggars and Daniel Jaggars.
