Samuel R. (Prop) Graziano, 79, of Carbondale, PA., died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at home. He was the husband of the former Lena S. Mancuso. Born March 15, 1931 in Carbondale, PA., he was the son of the late Samuel and Mary (Bilotta) Graziano. He was a 1948 graduate of the Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale and had been employed for 25 years as a courtroom clerk at the Lackawanna County Courthouse in Scranton, PA. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and the Moxie Club both of Carbondale. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and was a very special uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He is survived by one brother: Serafine Graziano of Carbondale, PA.; two sisters: Agnes Touch of Archbald, PA. and Mary Ann McLaughlin of Carbondale, PA.; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother: Joseph Graziano; one sister: Justine Carite; one niece: Colleen Novobilski. The funeral was held Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 9:00 AM from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Fallbrook Street, Carbondale, celebrated by Rev. Russell E. Motsay, pastor. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Township, PA. Pallbearers: John McLaughlin, Brian Carite, John Jordan, Joseph Farrante, Colleen Walsh, Jennifer Oakley, Jason Oakley and Frank Mancuso -- all nieces and nephews. Military honors were provided by the VFW Honor Guard, Post 4712, Simpson, PA. Friends called Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 5-8 PM.
