Samuel (Bell) Baglia age 80, of 318 Dundaff Street, Carbondale died Friday, February 15, 2002 at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale.
Born August 15, 1921 in Carbondale, PA. He was the son of the late Biaggio and Lucy (Juinta) Baglia.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Carbondale. He served in the United States Navy during World War II where he received the Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon, and the Pacific Theater Ribbon.
He worked at Heim-Barring Company in Fairfield Connecticut for many years.
He is survived by two sisters: Madelyn Angello of Camp Hill, PA. and Mary Susco of Danville, PA.; Nieces And Nephews
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Michael Baglia, William Baglia, and Joseph Baglia; and one sister: Sarah Blandino
The funeral was held Monday, February 18, 2002 from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale with mass at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, 15 Falbrook Street, Carbondale celebrated by Rev. Russell Motsay, Pastor. Interment, Mother Of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp.
Viewing was held Sunday, February 17, 2002 from 6 to 9 p.m.
