Sam Baggetta, 36, of Mayfield, PA., died Saturday, August 6, 2011. Born May 5, 1975 in Carbondale, PA., he was the son of Samuel T. Baggetta of Mayfield and Maria Lynady Baggetta of Clarks Summit, PA. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Carbondale and had been a self employed mason. He truly loved his work and was a very talented mason. He was a loving son, brother, grandson and nephew who was always available to lend a hand to those in need. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. He was very personable and everyone who knew him will especially miss his sense of humor and wit. He is survived by five siblings: Nicole Baggetta of Wilmington, DE., Matthew Baggetta of Philadelphia, PA., Lauren Baggetta of Mayfield, PA., Christopher Baggetta of Jessup, PA. and Eric Baggetta of Mayfield, PA.; paternal grandmother: Parma Baggetta of Mayfield, PA.; maternal grandmother: Marguerite Lynady of Jermyn, PA.; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Michael Baggetta. As per Sam's request, a private funeral was held for immediate family on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 from the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Farview and 41st Streets, Carbondale, with a blessing service conducted by Rev. Thomas P. Shoback, pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Church, Jermyn. Entombment took place in the family mausoleum at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Carbondale. Pallbearers: Christopher, Matthew, Eric, David and Nick Baggetta and David Falbo, Jr.
