Sallyann Perechinsky, 82, Greenfield Township, PA, died peacefully on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Andrew Perechinsky on August 11, 2023.
Born in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. Mulrooney and the late Ruth Sporer Mulrooney-McAndrew.
Sallyann was a raised in South Scranton and graduated from South Catholic High School. Her first job was at the University of Scranton, where she met her husband. She had been employed by several different companies over the years but found her true passion when she and Andy established Lost Continent Ceramics. For over 30 years they shared a love of making and selling their products at flea markets, craft shows and their annual holiday kiosk at the Viewmont Mall. Sally was a faithful member of St. John Vianney Parish in Montdale, PA.
She is survived by two sons: Michael Perechinsky and companion, Patti Ann Vetrini of Greenfield Township, PA, and Mayfield Police Chief Joseph Perechinsky and wife, Fay of Mayfield, PA; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Joseph and Frank Mulrooney; an infant sister: Helen; and a special aunt, Helen Mulrooney who helped raise Sallyann.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, April 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church, 704 Montdale Road, Scott Township, PA, celebrated by the Rev. Andrew Amankwaa, pastor.
Friends called Friday, April 26, 2024 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at the church.
