Sally P. Wells, 86, of Benton Township, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday night, August 21, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. Her devoted husband of 61 years, Willard Wells was by her side during her extended illness and passing.

Born April 19, 1937 in Fleetville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Sarah Powers Darling.

Sally was a 1955 graduate of Benton Township High School. She was the epitome of a farmer's wife, raising and caring for her family as well as assisting her husband in the operation of their dairy farm. She also assisted in the operation of her family's meat processing business, Darling's Locker Plant in La Plume, PA, which was established by her father. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be fondly remembered for her amazing apple pies and her love of sewing.

She is also survived by two daughters: Karen Browning of Dalton, PA, and Irene Cobb and husband, Charlie, Jr. of Nicholson, PA; four grandchildren: Taryn Matti, Sara, Tyler, and Samantha Cobb; one great-grandson: Killian Rivera; one brother: David Darling of Spokane, WA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Howard, Roy and Paul Darling and two sisters: Olive Darling and Patty Kile.

As per the family's request, no funeral service or visitation will be held.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Clifford, PA.
