Ruthanne Dottle Swartz, age 50, of Carbondale, PA., passed away into the loving arms of Jesus on Good Friday, March 21, 2008 at the Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. Born September 13, 1957 in Carbondale, PA., she is the daughter of Len and Ann (Wagner) Dottle of Carbondale. Ruthanne loved being surrounded by her family and friends and just talking. She had an excellent memory and would remember vivid details of past occasions. But, Ruthanne especially loved just sitting at home with her devoted dog Reggie and cats Flash and Betsey. Ruthanne's family and friends are already missing her daily phone calls. It was Ruthanne's wish to donate her corneas to the NEPA Lions Eye Bank. She is survived by one son: Kris wife Danielle Nichols of Carbondale, PA.; two brothers: Lenny wife Donna Lee Dottle and David wife Mary Martha Dottle, all of Carbondale, PA.; former husband: Tom Nichols of Mayfield, PA.; four nephews: David Dottle of Florida, Matt, Mark Luke Dottle, all of Carbondale, PA.; many cousins. A memorial service was held Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the First United Methodist Church of Carbondale, 20 North Church Street, Carbondale, celebrated by the Rev. Barbara Snyder, pastor, officiating. Cremation took place from Maple Hill at Salem Crematory, Archbald, PA. Friends called Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church. Funeral arrangements were entrusted under the care of the Carmine J. Louis C. Parise Funeral Home Cremation Services, Inc., Farview 41st Streets, Carbondale.
